meet CaribCall

On October 29, 2025, Hurricane Melissa devastated Jamaica, leaving behind widespread destruction and heartbreaking loss. Entire communities have been displaced, homes have been destroyed, and countless families are struggling to access basic necessities. The people of this beautiful island nation are facing unimaginable hardship, and among them are members of our very own team.

Jamaica holds a deeply special place in my heart. As a medical student, I had the privilege of serving there on a medical mission trip, providing care and supplies to communities across the island. That experience changed my life and has stayed with me ever since. Years later, when I began my first job as a gynecologist in Maryland, I met my husband, Oliver, who happens to be Jamaican. Through him and our frequent travels to the island, Jamaica and its people have continued to hold a special place in our hearts.

Several years ago, we founded CaribCall, a medical administrative company based in Montego Bay, Jamaica, to create job opportunities for talented Jamaicans while supporting U.S. medical practices. Our CaribCall team, Monique, Kacey-Neale, Laurie, Rossella, April, Lafaye, Tyra-Lee, Shanqueca, Lyshan, and Denise are more than colleagues; they are family. They are an essential part of Waldorf Women’s Care, managing patient calls, scheduling, billing, and surgical coordination with professionalism and care every single day.

Sadly, Hurricane Melissa has left our CaribCall team in crisis. Communication has been limited, and we’ve learned that some of our team members have lost their homes and belongings. One of our colleagues, a mother of two, has already reported the total loss of her home. Others are without power, clean water, or access to essential supplies.

We cannot stand by while our extended family struggles.
While many of our staff have already donated to relief efforts through the Jamaican government, we have also created a direct donation fund to provide immediate aid to our CaribCall team members. All contributions whether monetary donations or supplies will go directly to help them rebuild their lives and meet their urgent needs.
Your kindness, prayers, and generosity will make an immediate difference. Every dollar helps provide food, shelter, and stability for those who have given so much of themselves to care for others through their work with us.From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us and with Jamaica during this devastating time.

If you can help, please help. Together, we can make a real difference.
