Bringing warmth, experience, and compassion to every patient she cares for.Denise Blackbourne, M.S., PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant with more than 14 years of dedicated experience in women’s health. Originally from New Jersey, she completed her undergraduate studies at Montclair State University and earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers University) in Piscataway, NJ. During her training, Denise discovered her true passion while completing her OB/GYN rotation, a calling that has guided her ever since. She began her professional journey in a private OB/GYN practice in Hackensack, NJ, where she cared for both obstetric and gynecologic patients for nine years. After relocating to the DMV area, she broadened her expertise in women’s health by working in breast surgery, providing care for women with breast cancer, genetic risk factors, and benign breast conditions.

Denise is known for her calm, caring personality and compassionate bedside manner. She believes in building meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients, and strives to make every visit a comfortable, supportive experience. Her approach is rooted in education, prevention, and empowering women to take an active role in their health and wellness. Now, Denise is thrilled to return to her first love, Women’s Health, and is proud to be part of the WWC Gynecology & Aesthetics team. She looks forward to continuing her mission of providing personalized, thoughtful care to the women in her community.
